Darius “Busta” Kirlew, known as Big Lew, is a Mid-Florida rapper from Polk County. He is known around his area for his creative style and flow. He also produces his own music and often creates his own instrumentals. He has a group called “Dem Wood Boyz” which is having problems with promotion deals because of the violence the group brought upon themselves. So, Busta branched out to seek an opportunity to become the next rap star. He is currently attending Florida A&M University as a business major. As a rapper from the hood, he feels that a lot of people will understand the massage that he is trying to get across by showing that the hood cannot stop him from being an educated black man. As an artist, he opened up shows for underground artists like “Iceberg” and “Treal”, he was also offered deals from local record labels but, he turned them down because he was seeking for more than becoming a local artist, he had dreams of becoming the next Jeezy, Plies, Boosie, Tupac, and etc. He has a game plan of mastering all areas of hip hop, but he is starting off with rap music.
