Bobby Woodson aka Bobby BanxXx is a southern rapper from Raleigh/Durham, NC. His
life is a testimony of what can be accomplished in spite of the struggle and strain. His first
national appearance was in 1998 when he rocked BET's Teen Summit. Recently Bobby BanxXx
completed filming a nationally syndicated docu-series produced by Dave Trepas, executive
producer of "1000 Ways to Die" in Los Angeles, CA.
With his southern twang laced over organs and hard-hitting marching drums, the rappers word
play paints real life pictures bringing listeners back to realism frame by frame. If he hasn't lived
it, seen it, or felt it he doesn't speak it. Word Up! Bobby BanxXx is like a breath of fresh air.
That same breath was almost taken away from him in April, 2004 when he was almost fatally
wounded during an altercation that left him riddled with scars. Those scars are one of the many
chapters etched in the ink behind his tattoo tears.
BanxXx is inspired by gospel artists such as Shirley Caesar and gangsta rap artists such as Easy
E. He describes real gospel and gangsta music as "gutter" because it speaks from the soul of the
black experience in America.
